YOU SO RAD PHOTO EXHIBITION

One of my proudest moment is actually to be a part of an exhibition. These picture is a collaboration between so many artist put together into one. Photographer Hilarius Jason, fashion designer Radityo Puspoyo for his brand RAD, graphic designer Akira Kimata for his brand NQBQ, fashion stylist Arsy Medina, and fabric designer Belda Farika for her home ware product Loom all collaborate together to create an amazing collection. Exhibited at The Foundry no.8 on March 2013. 

I know it has been a year since then. But it is still worth the post.

ANOTHER DAY IN THE LIFE OF MR. SPECTOR

It has been a while and by a while I meant a long while, since I last posted anything in this blog. I think it is just a perfect timing that I start to update it again. I have been doing the styling for www.shoppingmagz.com online magazine's fashion spread for the last 8 months (or more). Every month I try my best to translate their concept into photograph. I have to say, working with them is one of the most fun times I have. Originally, 2 of those pictures are in GIF, so they are moving and it is very exciting. 

This is one of the last one I did for them. Photographed by the talented Ricko Sandy, styled by yours truly and modeled by a dearest friend of mine, Takashi Spector for New York.

I just love love love the weirdness that this editorial oozes. I think it's pretty in a weird kind of way.

THERE IS NO END TO BLACK AND WHITE

There is no need to say more that I am in love with black and white photography. I have always thought that black and white photography is about capturing the soul within. I always think that photographer that delivers a good black and white pictures are those who needs to be applauded. Not everyone can do that. And not everyone can style them as well. The crisp of the styling and the all the white clothes they use is just amazing and I just couldn't turn away from this. All the clean lines and the sharp poses just makes this a very good editorial. Kudos to the team and I just can't wait to make something like this myself.

THE FUTURE IS NOW

Never before I was so amazed by futuristic work before. Never before I made a futuristic photo shoot concept before. Futuristic was never my thing, but this time I challenge my self to create something that is so far off my element and actually so pleased on how it turns out to be. Many many many thanks to Anton Ismael, the photographer that made everything I've ever done worth while and Patrick Owen and Anonymous, both brand that supports the whole shoot and all those who is involved in this magical photoshoot and for making my concept come to live. I could never be happier to see this.

FOREVER DARK, INDEED

I always find this fashion spread titled 'Forever Dark' from Vision China, astonishing. The splattered blood like paint splashing in the picture, the darkness of the whole mood and the silent seduction slowly creeping into the whole picture is just marvelous. I have never seen anything like this before and therefore I am in awe. This jaw-dropping and mind blowing editorial by far are my most favorite editorial of all time. It even beats my favorite-never-wrong-and-full-of-props photographer Tim Walker. I love, love, love this! It even live up to the title. And I don't think anything will be able to top this, at least not anytime soon.
