Love Is A Weird Thing...

Wow, it's been a while since I posted anything here. I have been working like crazy and as the month of love ends (so is my deadline)....I finally have time to post some of my own love in my own blog, without having my editors make a mark here and there. It feels like heaven!

Another thing that I think feels like heaven is looking at this fashion spread from W magazine (I forgot which issue). There's a lot of models, a lot of clothes, a lot of thing going on, but somehow it's just simple as it is. I don't know why I am so in love with their color scheme, their silhouette and the styling. I am also in love with the fact that there are a lot of models, but somehow it's not over crowded. I think that through the color scheme, I see that this fashion spread is very soft and very romantic. As the end of the month of love is finally arriving, I think it's very appropriate of me to post this fashion spread because...Ooohh, I am in love....

Love....Whatever...

Dear Mister Whatever,
Perhaps what I do might not interest you
Perhaps I need a little something
To make you turn your head to me

Dear Mister Whatever,
Perhaps you can stole my heart
Perhaps you can keep it
And make it feel warm again

Dear Mister Whatever,
Perhaps it's true...
That my heart has been yearning for you
That my heart has been aching for your touch

So please please please Mister Whatever,
Make my wish come true
Take my heart
And keep it with you....

Hello, Good Morning, and Goodbye!

Another year has passed and I cannot believe that time flies in front of my very eyes. I must say that 2009 was one hell of a year and I am totally thankful for what ever happened to me during those times. But now it's passed, it is time for me to concentrate more on up coming projects. Projects that have been on my mind for the past couple of years, but never have the time to actually turn it to reality.
One of the projects that has to be done during 2010 is the most important project. Something that was so important that I actually use it to name my blog. I need bigger closet and I need to redecorate my room. This has to be done. I cannot stand my clothes being scattered around my room and no, I don't have any plans on donating any of them yet.
I want my room to have this kind of feeling. Warm feeling with soft colors. Very girlie and very unlike me (by unlike me means unlike the way I dressed most of the time). Somehow having this kind of room seems to be out of character for me, but that is the reason why I want this kind of room more than I want a pair of shoes. YES, more than a pair of shoes.

With this kind of drawers and closet (of course in a much larger size and maybe different colors)...

]

And this kind of chair....

And I can imagine that my room would be complete with this kind of knick-knacks (all in pretty colors)...

I think it is important that your room really describe who you really are or at least portray something you really love. I want my room to be something very warm, something to come home to, something that make you fall in love, something sweet, and something lovely. Most of the people who think that they know me, would never thought I would like things like this. I love lovely things and no, I don't think that you should be a girlie girl to like those kind of stuff :)

Oh How Very Unfortunate Of Me

I love books. I love movies. I love movies that was based from a book, even though it is not always as good as the book. There's this book by Lemony Snicket, which I love very very much. I love how it is very dark and gloomy and the fact that it is a children book, which I am not sure of, makes it even more attractive. Somehow some brilliant director decided that it was going to be a beautiful movie, which was true. IT IS a lovely movie. With lovely cast. And lovely dresses.
This movie is somehow forgotten until recently when I stumbled upon the review of the movie in one of the blog I visited, and I hate the fact that I don't even remember whether I've seen this movie or not. A Series Of Unfortunate Events is one of my favorite book that I obsessively waited on and actually read from beginning to end (yes, all 13 of them). I remembered watching it, but I didn't remember how the story begins or ends. I'm starting to think that probably I haven't watch it, but I've read it so I imagined what the movie would be like. Huh?? I'm confused.
So, about this movie....I love how the character dress up. And I love how it was very dark colored (I mean, it is a gloomy movie). I love how it is NOT a romantic-happy-ending kind of story. I love how they search for character that wasn't too far away from MY imagination (even better, I might add), so it is easier for me to relate the movie to the book. I love a lot of things about this movie, of which I don't remember watching. Ha!

I can see why watching this movie can be such a heavy dose for my brain, for it is full of imagination and unrealistic things. But I am so sure, that if I remember watching this movie, I would kill myself for not remembering it!!

*What's happening to me?? I am very confused!!*

I Get By With A Little Help From My Friend...

I am very relieved to inform you that my days of working my ass off is about to be over and somehow I am a little saddened and afraid. My work will be measured and compared. People will read it, got thrilled by it, and they either love it or hate it. I have been crossing my fingers ever since day one. And boy does that hurt...

Ah well, I needed a little trip to the magazine rack. Flip through pages of fashion spread and linger longer or worse, imagined what would my interpretation would be like. I daydreamed a lot every time I saw a good fashion spread. Smiled if it was a good one. Frown a little when it's a bad one. If it is that good, I would stop and my eyes would wander somewhere else and actually got lost in my own world. For those of you who think I am a freak...I DON'T CARE.

This fashion spread is from British Vogue on their April 2008 issue. I love how it's dreamy and sort of fairy like, even though it's odd and weird and dark at the same time. Tim Walker is a very good photographer and Karen Elson is not just a random model. She is the right one for this story. I bet they work very well together.
*The only thing that bothers me was the flat shoes. Why??*

Almost every fashion spread I've seen that involves Jessica Stam was ever a bad one. I think she's adorable. I think she looked like a kid fresh out of Junior High school. I can't even explain how she looks like. I just like her. Period. And apparently I think a lot of people think so too. Even Marc Jacobs named a bag after her. What a lucky girl...

I honestly think that this girl is getting better every time I see her in the pages of a magazine. I never liked her before, specially from her Dawson's Creek years. Yuck. No offense! But look at her now. She still looks like she's 14 years old, yet she had a daughter. I don't know exactly what it is that make her look angelic, cute and sexy without being raunchy and matronly. Everything about her is perfect. She had perfect skin complexion, perfect hair color, perfect haircut, and most important of all, PERFECT STYLE. It is either her stylist is super smart or she is one stylish mama. Michelle Williams, I adore you....

WOW. I think this is amazing. Growing up with a brother whose passion is graffiti, who ended up being one of the well-known graffiti artist in my town, I think it's amazing how this fashion spread from French Vogue x KAWS stands out amongst the other fashion spread I saw with a graffiti in the back ground. I love how the background clashed with the high end couture wear. And I love how the graffiti it self doesn't only stand in the shadow, instead they pop out as much as the model and the outfits. WOW....

Although I am super glad that the deadline has passed (or almost, I'm not really sure), I am kinda excited to wait for the next issue. I can't wait until the first editorial meeting, of which the chief editor is going to declare it's next concept for our magazine. I have jitters in my stomach. La la la la....I am going nuts!
